"I'm handicapped and my daughter who normally helps me is in the hospital. My 18 year old cat Molly was sick and needed to get to the vet. I was having a friend help me out, but because of her job she hasn't been able to get here. So I reached out to Lola & Company. Amber is wonderful! In a day's notice she got Molly back and forth to the vet, helped me by doing the litter box, getting my prescriptions out of the mailbox and taking out the trash. "Amber Lamar Bouharna, owner of Lola & Company has provided exceptional service to me and my family since 2018. Her primary focus has been in the care of our dogs, Captain and Allie Ann. For those who love animals, understanding the importance and value of family pets is not difficult. In our case, Captain and AA drift somewhere between "pet" and "human." My husband I simply adore them. As such, one can easily grasp the critical nature of their good care, particularly when we are not readily available. Amber has become an indispensable part of the Liles family human and canine lives. Her gentle and kind approach, combined with her reliability and overall professionalism go far in reassuring us that Captain and AA are in the "best of hands" when we are away, and close by. With the advent of Covid-19, our relationship with Amber has evolved to new and telling levels. From the outset of the crisis, and for obvious reasons, we were reluctant to engage in garden-variety activities outside of the home. For example, I was not inclined to go to the grocery store. I realize that this was a personal choice, and not one universally deemed essential; but help with every-day chores such as grocery shopping was necessary for me. When I requested help with these additional tasks, Amber responded with the same level of intentionality, maturity, and professionalism she demonstrated in her work with our animals. Of significance is the depth and breath of Amber's knowledge and experience. Though her current professional orientation is one with animal care and maintenance, Amber is also a bachelor's level trained registered nurse, possessing a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience. She is also an advocate for holistic living and wellness. In other words, she is a terrific resource and consultant for a myriad of in-home and self-care issues. I strive to respect the limitations of our relationship; but admittedly, I sometimes over-step my bounds because Amber is one smart woman. I find it near-impossible not to "pick her brain." I would recommend Amber Lamar Bouharna without reservation for the love and care of your pets. "As my father reached end of life I contacted Amber to please be on standby for the unknown time I would want to leave everything and go to him in another state. "I have known Amber for a very long time (20+ years) so when she started this business I was very excited! We have a 4 year old Golden Retriever and 2 year old Bluetick Coonhound. We asked Amber to take care of our sweet boys the day of our wedding, as we were going to be VERY busy. Everything went smoothly! October rolled around and we had made the decision to move to Tennessee. We were not able to take our boys with us and they had to stay with my MIL for 4.5 months (until our house was built). We had Amber come in daily (M-F) to walk and feed our two boys plus my MILs Chihuahua.
